81 as P7+MN May 1945 still served with SeenotGruppe 81 and surrendered at Guldborg in Denmark. June 18th 1945 was part of the evacuation of Guldborg to Schleswig. It was given Air Minstry Number 114 and was selected for evaluation of its air-sea-rescue equipment. December 6th 1945 the aircraft was ferried from Schleswig-See to Felixtowe. December 20th 1945 the RAF serial number VN865 (another source mentiones VN143) was allocated. December 27th 1945 the Do-24 was on strength of the Marine Experimental Establishment for 'type trials'. June 1st 1946 it was awaiting disposal because of the lack of resources to maintain the aircraft. April 1947 it was still present at Felixtowe. November 14th 1947 it was collected by J. Dale & Co for reduction to scrap. |
