|Electronic Radio Altimeter FuG 101 measures the distance between the airplane and the ground underneath. The measuring range is between 0 and 1500 meter.|

Range: The displayrange is devided in two parts. The bottom displayrange is from 0 to 150 meter and the top displayrange is between 100 and 1500 meter.
Accururacy: The deviation of the displayed height after measuring the equipment is within 10% of the displayed height (in the top displayrange this is only true for 200 meter and up). In the lower displayrange the difference between 0 and 3 meter is easy to differentiate.
2. Power source, Energy usage:
As power source the 24 volt onboard net was used. The appliance worked between 22 and 30 volts. The energy use at 29 volts was about 6 Ampere.
3. Wavelength, Frequency and Eradiated power:
The wavelength was between the range of λ = 75 cm upto 89 cm with a frequency of f = 400 MHz upto 337 MHz.
Within this range the unit had measuring range in the bottom displayrange of 40 MHz wide and in the top displayrange of 4 MHz wide.
The transmitted power was about 1,5 Watt.
For the unit three tubes were needed, furthermore a stabilizer and two fluorescent lamps.
