Rupa Do-24T

This is by far the most special Do-24 model. It was manufactured in 1941 by the Dutch firm of Rupa with approval of the Germans. The company got a special number that was put on the box and which indicated that is was approved and did not do any damage to the German warproduction. I have no idea how long this model was in production but it must have not been very long. The interesting this is that one of the drawings included in the box indicates that there was a second model, scale 1:40. The model is completely made of wood and is hand made. The price of 5 guilders was at that time very high and so the model was only available for the rich. The detail is not much, because the company was only allowed to display the general lines of the aircraft.
This model is an absolute rarity and if you see one be sure to obtain it as it has a high price tag for the collecter, ranging from $100-200.
