Do-24K-1 Werk Nr. 781 X-21 was experimentaly fitted with a newly designed nose turret and made a flight around the Indonesian Archipelos from June 1 to 6 1939. The crew were not very pleased with the new turret because, as can be plainly seen, the visibility from the cockpit was severely hampered by the turret.
